Urovo DT50, DT50S and SQ51CW
The Openitem Guard App is supported on the Urovo DT50, Urovo DT50S and Urovo SQ51CW, Android handhelds. Guards use them at the gate to record visitors, staff and contractors as they arrive and leave, with every visit stored in the Openitem cloud and reported on in real time.

What the Guard App does on a Urovo
- Scans visitor and resident QR codes and access barcodes with the device camera.
- Reads vehicle licence discs to record a vehicle against the visit.
- Reads passports and other documents on the device with OCR, so details are captured rather than typed.
- Opens NFC access points where the device has NFC and the site has it enabled.
- Runs the site’s own entry and exit workflow, with custom questions, configured remotely.
Scanning uses the device camera, so it behaves the same on every supported model. See Guard Task Capabilities for the workflows a guard can run.
