Apple has unveiled an exciting new advancement with Apple Intelligence, showcased at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). While the technology itself has been available for some time, we’ve now completed the integration of Apple Intelligence into the OpenItem platform to deliver a smarter, more intuitive, and highly personalised user experience.
The new AI assistant delivers fast, private, and intelligent assistance by leveraging in-device intelligence and understanding each user’s unique context. It recognises individual roles, permissions, access rights, and available features, ensuring that every response, recommendation, and action is tailored to the specific information and functionality available to that user.
In addition, the assistant incorporates estate-specific rules, operational settings, configured permissions, and community policies to provide accurate, context-aware support. It understands how each estate or facility operates, including its unique workflows, access procedures, compliance requirements, booking rules, visitor processes, and administrative configurations. This enables the AI assistant to deliver guidance that is not only personalised to the user but also aligned with the operational requirements of the environment in which they live, visit, or work.
Whether helping a resident navigate the platform, book an amenity, or submit a request; assisting a visitor or contractor with access procedures and documentation; or enabling an administrator to locate features, manage records, and complete tasks more efficiently, every interaction is aligned with the policies, permissions, and workflows of the relevant estate or facility.
By combining Apple Intelligence with OpenItem’s rich contextual awareness, the AI assistant acts as an intelligent digital companion that understands who the user is, what they have permission to access, and how their estate or facility operates.
