Payfast — Payfast, now part of Network International, is one of South Africa's longest-running payment gateways. It accepts card, Instant EFT, debit orders, Mobicred, SnapScan, Zapper and more, settling into the merchant's account without the merchant handling card data.
Openitem Access Control uses it through Electronic Payments: a resident or visitor books and pays for access or a facility in the app, and the payment confirmation releases a digital credential — a QR code or PIN — valid for the booked period.
